This article shows you that following A path to becoming a Pilates teacher in a world heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic is a smarter choice than ever!

Why now?

In a world shaped by VIDOC-19, there has been a massive increase in physical and mental health awareness.

As far as the fitness industry is concerned, this trend is manifested by a more informed and demanding clientele, looking for a more personalized approach, well-trained teachers, and enriching and sophisticated disciplines.

According to market research conducted by Allied Market Research, it is estimated that the global Pilates market will triple in value between 2018 and 2025. Especially since, during the last few months of containment, there has been a significant growth in new practitioners in the world of Pilates, particularly thanks to online classes.

Why become a Pilates instructor?

The Pilates method is presented as the perfect physical discipline for the cultural and socio-economic context of 2020; a practice rich in content, specially designed for a public in search of strength, balance and well-being. It is also a very evolving discipline that adapts to all types of profiles, whether it is a 25-year-old professional athlete or an 85-year-old person.

Finally, Pilates is above all a discipline that is perfectly adapted to remote physical practices, which are indispensable in a confined space.

With this in mind, completing a high quality classical Pilates training would be a great advantage for professional growth in a post-COVIDenvironment and well-being.

A modern, sophisticated and fast-growing discipline... There are many reasons to embark on this adventure!

A pilates teacher training course can be adapted to several profiles. Here are a few of them;

  • sports coaches;
  • ofBPJEPS graduates;
  • of holders of the CQP ALS AGEE;
  • professional dancers or dance teachers;
  • of health or wellness professionals (physiotherapist, osteopath, sophrologist, yoga teacher...)
  • ....or even simple passionate about the Pilates method, as part of a professional retraining.

If you are in charge of a professional fitness or wellness centre (gym, rehabilitation centre, spa, hotel, etc.), and you are wondering about Pilates as part of a possible integration of the discipline into your activity, you are on the right track!

How do I become a Pilates instructor?

The question of how to properly identify the qualities of a Pilates teacher training program and how to choose the program that best suits you is very important. I will be writing an article on this subject very soon. For now, as the director of a training organization, I can already give you my vision of what a good training organization is.

Future Form Pilates Education is a classical Pilates teacher training organization. FFPE training integrates both the traditional values of Joseph Pilates' method and the modern requirements of the fitness industry. Our approach is based on the values of rigour, precision and evolution but also and above all on respect for the origins of the discipline.

If you want more information about the FFPE training, contact me, or subscribe to the FFPE newsletter, to receive more articles about the profession of Pilates teacher.
